Math
The first grade team has decided to send home math homework on Mondays and Wednesdays. Please check your child's folder This homework is so that you know what we are learning in math and those concepts can be reinforced at home.
R.E.D. Folders
After reading with your child, a Read Every Day (R.E.D.) folder will be sent home. In the folder will be two books and a list of comprehension questions. Your child should be able to read one of the books by themselves. Please listen to them reading this story throughout the week. The more they read, the more fluent they will become (even if you're tired of hearing the same story)! The other book is a Bedtime Book (it has a BB label in the corner). This book is for you to read to your child during a quiet evening time or before bed. It helps students to hear fluent readers. I try to trade books once a week (it takes a long time to trade 40 books!)
